The cover of Harper's Weekly Magazine, October 15, 1898, shows a photo detailing the crucial role played by the Buffalo Soldiers during the Spanish-American War.

The magazine covers the famous charge up San Juan Hill, a pivotal moment in the war where the bravery and valor of the Buffalo Soldiers were prominently displayed.
