Officer's Forage Cap

Pattern 1895 Officer's Forage Cap features a dark blue wool crown measuring 3 1/4 inches high, flat on top. It includes a black mohair band around the base of the crown and an enameled leather visor with a slight slope and bound edges.  The cap is adorned with gilded brass U.S. staff officer's buttons on each side and a gilded twisted cord chin strap with an adjuster attached to each button.
